- Small bunch fresh cilantro
- ½ red onion, minced
- 2-3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 1 egg, beaten
- Baking + Spices:
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup bread crumb
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Mash beans and add remaining ingredients.
Shape into ½ inch balls or patties.
Fry or bake until golden and crispy.
