#ShapingCLT; A Healthy City

  • Levine Musuem of the New South 200 East 7th Street Charlotte, NC, 28202 United States (map)

#ShapingCLT is a monthly solutions-oriented variety show aimed at vanquishing apathy. The examination of Charlotte’s future will move participants beyond conversation towards civic action. Guest-curated by Davita Galloway of Dupp&Swat, this brunch program will bring together thought-leaders in our community representing a variety of perspectives on trending issues.

The next installment of the #ShapingCLT series will focus on Charlotte becoming a healthy city.

How healthy is Charlotte? Decisions in the past made Charlotte what it is today. Decisions we make now will shape our health and well-being far into the future. Join an interactive session about our community’s collective health at #ShapingCLT. Hear local advocates Meg Fencil of Sustain Charlotte, Rick Winiker of Greenways of Mecklenburg, and Elliott Royal of Mecklenburg County Public Health discuss how Charlotte is doing with:

  • Access to healthy activities
  • Access to nutritious food
  • Access to a healthy environment
  • Our collective sense of happiness and well-being

Food, games, and activities will move the conversation along. Attendees will leave the program with simple, actionable steps to make Charlotte a healthier place to live.

Tickets are $10 and do not include brunch.
